RSSHI (Research Society for the study of Hypertension in India)- one of the largest body of specialists and super-specialists conducted it’s Symposium on “Freedom from Hypertension” for the first time in Agra.

Dr. CR Rawat, one of the most prominent cardiologist of Agra, has been nominated the National President of this Hypertension society. There were 9 talks given by specialists and super specialists along with faculty of repute from the city and all over Uttar Pradesh, to grace this wonderful knowledge sharing event. Dr CR Rawat started the symposium with his lecture on European Guidelines for treatment of Hypertension- that detailed that how world standard treatment can be easily given to hypertension patients, without admission and on OPD basis, just with some clarity of treatment protocols.

Dr. Subhash Chandra, Head of Department, Cardiology, Saifai Medical College, gave his talk on Renal Artery Stenosis, among other speakers. Dr. Rajat Rawat concluded, the last talk, on his lecture on cure of hypertension with the latest, Renal Denervation Therapy, that blocks renal nerves and cures hypertension. Dr. Rajat Rawat detailed the specific category of patients that may derive benefit from such an approach and may even have freedom from blood pressure pills in this way. This has lead to great enthusiasm amongst both doctors and patients, since we are slowly moving towards an era where a subset of patients may actually be able to stop their medications and live a pill free life.
